She describes the bladder as a balloon sitting in a hammock and describes exercises to lift the perineal muscles and close the bladder outlet to keep people dry. She presents an excellent discussion of nutritional recommendations, exercise program, diaphragmatic breathing, hand warming, body/mind quieting and urinary and bowel habits. The function, effect and examples of medications are presented. The book is illustrated to show how to do beyond Kegel exercises by rolling the knees out and back, using a Kegelband and Kegelball. The book is in large type with bolded topics. There are numbered and bulleted lists and helpful figures.
